It's not luck, twins are really hard!

That garage sale kicked our butts!  Way too much work for just a little bit of money.  But on the bright side, all the contributors' had tons of fun setting up, rummaging through each other's stuff, buying each other's stuff, and selling each others stuff!  I can't get enough of Aherne DelPero and her "carnival barker selling style" and her fluent Spanish speaking, which comes in very handy when trying to sell a stack of polo shirts to everyone who passes her! Oh what Fun!

Ellie is at work with daddy right now, this is what she looked like before they left.

I can't wait to hear all about it when they get back!
I'm finally able to post on here after a very grumpy couple of days with Stella and Axl.  Not sure why, but once again they are proving to be very difficult babies; and there's two of them!  I sometimes just leave them in a safe place and calmly leave the room until I'm sane enough to come back and deal with them.  This usually works, because when I come back I'm able to re-asses the situation and start again fresh.  So anyway, this brings me to the title of this post: It's not luck, twins are really hard!  A common comment when I am out in public with my babies, is "Twins, you're so lucky".  And I used to feel the same way; how neat it would be to have two babies at once, but the truth is I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.  My once carefree and laid back demeanor has been replaced with fret and a guilty ball of nerves.  It is hard to enjoy either one of my babies when the other is inevitably crying.  I hope that my current emotional state breaksway to reveal the "luck" that everyone perceives is TWINS, but it's hard to imagine my life getting any calmer when I have a whirlwind of a 2 year old reminding me everyday of what is to come (x2)!!

  1. =( Hopefully Ellie is just prepping you in order to pave the way for the twins and their "terrible two's." You'll be an old pro by then (let's hope!)

  2. I am in awe of you. When I was pregnant with Liz (before ultrasound) I thought that if I had twins I would give one to my sister! It's bound to get better, though, as they grow.
