keeping busy

As if feeding babies and changing diapers doesn't keep me busy enough, I decided to be a little more scheduled about my day. This is so very unlike me, I am a fly by the seat of my pants kinda girl, usually. But these baby blues are harder to shake this time around, so I think instead of succumbing to the darkness, I need to stay extra busy and plan some trips out of the house. So I signed Ellie up for Gymnastics today, she went to her first class and had a ball! It's a mommy and me class, so I took the babies and they were angels in their stroller while Ellie and I jumped, twirled ribbon, walked a balance beam, and swung and a rope, we can't wait for the next class.
Axl has been practicing his crawling and Stella her airplane, they are both becoming pros. On the menu for the babies today is rice cereal with blended bananas, this is they're first fruit, and I think they are gonna flip for it! I got one of these to make my own baby food, once a week I make a new food, so far it has been really easy, I freeze any leftovers in ice cube trays then pop them out throughout the week.
We have to get a new car next month and I can't decide, so far I am debating between the Chevy Traverse, the Audi Q7, the Acura MDX, or the Volvo XC-90. It's going to be a tough decision, since I really love my BMW and am sad to be moving on to a "mom" car.

  1. I laughed at your "mom car" comment! Just thought I would throw my 2 cents in. lol I never, ever thought I would say this but I really do love my minivan! :) I have a honda and it has been the best, especially with 3 kids! It is roomy, extremely comfortable, tons of storage, and I love I just have to press a button and it opens the doors for me...great for when I have my hands full! I always said I wouldn't have a mini van but it has been the best! It is great too when my mom comes to visit b/c we can all ride in one car!

That gymnastics class sounds like so much fun!! I bet she had a ball!!! Where was this stuff when we were kids? I just remember ballet and then roaming and playing in the neighborhood! :)

  2. Everyone around me has been pushing for a minivan, but I just don't want to drive one. And on top of that the Honda only has bucket seats in the middle, so I would have to get inside everytime to buckle and unbuckle ellie. I know they are extremely practical, but I "just say no", nothing against any minivan driving moms, I'm sure you make it look good! I know I'm really excited about a mommy and me class, should be fun!
